Closer Robotics, a developer of AI robots, to exhibit at the following trade shows from October to November.

Closer Inc. (CEO: Shota Higuchi, Headquarters: Tsukuba City, Ibaraki Prefecture, hereinafter "Closer Robotics") will exhibit at the following trade shows from October to November.

  • October 9 (Wed) to 11 (Fri), 2024: FOOD Exhibition 2024 (Tokyo Big Sight)
  • October 23 (Wed) to 25 (Fri), 2024: TOKYO PACK 2024 (Tokyo Big Sight)
  • November 20 (Wed) to 22 (Fri), 2024: 5th Food Tech Japan Tokyo (Makuhari Messe)

At each exhibition, Closer Robotics will showcase the compact collaborative palletizing robot "Palletizy," which automates pallet stacking tasks such as loading cardboard boxes, and the small-bag transfer robot "PickPacker," which automates repetitive tasks in food factories.

Palletizy

"Palletizy" is a compact collaborative palletizing robot that automates the stacking of cardboard boxes and other items. It features the "AutoLayout" function, which automatically generates a stacking layout and tier configuration by simply inputting the size of the cardboard boxes and pallets.

Overview of the AutoLayout Function:

Conventional palletizing robots required skilled operators to manually set up stacking layouts using a teaching pendant. However, with the new AutoLayout function, teaching tasks are no longer necessary. The robot can be easily operated via a user interface similar to a smartphone. Users only need to input the dimensions of the cardboard boxes and pallets, and the system will automatically generate and suggest several optimized stacking layouts. This allows users to select the most efficient layout and automate the task.

PickPacker

"PickPacker" is a small-bag transfer robot that automates repetitive tasks in food factories. In particular, transferring small bags of seasonings into containers has been difficult for traditional image processing technologies due to the glossy surfaces, deformation, and thinness of the bags.

Utilizing Closer Robotics' proprietary AI image processing technology, this robot can handle these small bags and perform bulk picking and conveyor tracking.
