Ibaraki Prefecture holds its annual awards ceremony every November to honor individuals and groups with notable achievements in various fields that contribute to the development of the prefecture. This year, the awards ceremony was held on November 10 at the prefectural office, recognizing a total of 45 individuals and 15 organizations (including 1 recipient of the Citizen's Honor Award, 4 recipients and 1 organization of the Special Achievement Award, 3 individuals and 2 organizations of the New Ibaraki Creation Award, 6 individuals and 2 organizations of the Governor's Encouragement Award, and 31 individuals and 10 organizations of the Achievement Award).
Award in the Field of Industrial Promotion
The award was given for leading the introduction of robots into industries where automation is still progressing slowly, including the development of one of the world's smallest packaging robots, which has already been adopted by food factories.
