Closer Inc. (Headquartered in Tsukuba City, Ibaraki Prefecture, CEO: Shota Higuchi) has been selected as one of the five office members of the Japan Innovation Campus, a startup support hub established by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry in Palo Alto, Silicon Valley, one of the world's most advanced startup ecosystems.

About the Japan Innovation Campus: The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry has established the Japan Innovation Campus in Palo Alto, Silicon Valley, to build a global startup ecosystem in Japan and foster startups that can compete globally. The campus aims to support Japanese startups seeking to expand overseas by collaborating with local academia, industry, and government. An opening ceremony was held on November 12, 2023.
The Japan Innovation Campus will work with local accelerators, venture capital firms, top universities such as Stanford University and the University of California, Berkeley, as well as administrative agencies like JETRO, to support Japanese startups in raising funds, expanding their business in the U.S., and facilitating collaboration between Japanese companies and U.S. startups and VCs.
